The Abbey

On the southern tip of Loch Ness, a 1 hour drive from Inverness and just a 3 hour drive from either Glasgow or Edinburgh – a wonderful place to stay for your holiday or short break in the Highlands of Scotland.

The Grounds

The stunning holiday rentals in this beautiful Grade A listed building are set amongst 20 acres of private grounds, surrounded by mysterious Loch Ness, two rivers and the picturesque Caledonian Canal.

Tennis Court

The lounge area and all available facilities can be used free of charge however please note that none are guaranteed.

There is also an on-site restaurant at the Boathouse however this is privately run and therefore opening hours and dates are not guaranteed.

Guarding the Great Glen on the shores of Loch Ness, the Abbey has a long and often turbulent history that stretches back to the days of Culloden and Bonnie Prince Charlie. In 1876 the Lovat Estate leased the ground to a Benedictine Order of Monks who built a Monastery and later a school.

Minutes from the apartments the very pretty village of Fort Augustus lies on the banks of the Caledonian Canal, with a succession of locks and a wonderful swing bridge that takes boats onto Loch Ness.

The village has shops, restaurants, bars and boat trips. Inverness and Fort William are both just a 45 minute drive away.
